Artisan Bakery and Cafe in Ouray

A must when you visit Ouray! So many tasty treats, great coffee and the owners are super lovely!

Food was good and priced reasonable

After reading the reviews we almost didn't go in. However, we're glad we did. Breakfast sandwiches and coffee was pretty good. A young man took our order and he was friendly.

Great bread

This bakery was my wife's highlight of the trip, she looked forward to going every morning when we woke up. We tried the Lavendar Lemon bars, pumpkin bar, cinnamon rolls and blue berry muffins. The morning we were going to try a breakfast sandwich they were out of croissants but I'm sure they were amazing as well. Excellent place to stop in for your morning coffee and breakfast. Looking forward to stopping in again and might have to buy a whole sheet of Lemon Lavendar bars for my wife.

Great food. Mostly sandwiches with some baked goods offered. Would recommend the pumpkin square!

Ham, Cheese and chili pepper scone anyone? Amazingly crispy yet tender & super flavorful. My husband had the HUGE cinnamon bun (just the right amount of gooey frosting goodness. The place opens at 7 AM (ignore the website time) Be one of the early birds in line otherwise they'll sell out on their deliciousness. This place is a micro, artisan bakery-truly. Everything is so yummy- how do they do it in the high altitude? Let your tastebuds benefit from their wares. Beware- -this place is addicting!

Best coffee and lunch in town

Had a delicious cookie and a breakfast wrap. The staff was fine, not rude but not very friendly either. They were out of bacon, so maybe it had been a stressful morning :)

Nice place worth friendly staff. Would rate higher but options are limited for a bakery. Breakfast sandwich was delicious and fast.

Great latte. Good portion in my breakfast wrap. Service is kind of slow, but we were not in a rush... Just enjoying our morning before a trail ride. Nice staff.

Why wouldn't you stop, grab a cinnamon roll and cup of coffee. The view from the tables outside is unmatched.

Just visited Ouray, CO from TX... visited the Artisan Bakery & Cafe one morning. Wonderful breakfast sandwiches and the pastries were delicious. Staff is very friendly and eager to serve. 😁 very pleased.

The man at the counter who takes your order acts like he hates everyone who comes in and could go postal in there at anytime. Definitely not friendly and obviously hates what he does. Go elsewhere

Immaculate pumpkin bread squares. We bought one to have a bite and bring the rest home but ended up eating the whole thing in 20 seconds. Good sandwiches too!

Artisan has the best tasting coffee and the least expensive breakfast and lunch in Ouray, Colorado. Some reviewers are not impressed with Trevor's straight delivery and dry sense of humor. I guess I can understand. Regardless, everything here is fresh, delicious, and made to order. We are lucky to have this local bakery in this mountain town.

I had a terrible experience here. The man who took our order was so miserable with his life that he can not even be nice to his costumers. The food is not very good. Spare your money for something edible. When my mother asked for napkins he looked at us like we were disgusting for needing something to wipe their disgusting Pasteries off our face. When my brother and I stepped up to order we were rudely yelled at to step away. We did not have our masks off but he did not have to yell at us. I am offended and I will not be coming back to the coffee shop at ouray Colorado. DO NOT GO HERE!!!

The apple turnover was delicious! But the Chai had a funny taste and I later realized the oat milk in my chai had gone sour.

Everything was delicious. The bagels were fresh. The cherry bar was amazing. I came here my first day visiting and made sure to stop the next. I'd go here every morning if I lived here! I only wish they had more bread options. I wanted to try their garlic bread but they had a limited menu due to COVID so they only made one type per day. You won't regret going here. I'd try to go early, when I went at 930 they were already sold out of a few items.

rude service, extremely slow, and did not mention they were out of a key ingredient for the sandwhich I ordered. They just left it off without telling me before I ordered it or even after giving it to me

Five stars for the products. Two stars for the service. The guy at the register needs a lesson on customer relations. A simple thank you would be nice. I asked if they had decaf coffee. He said I don't do decaf. Stone silence after ordering/paying. The gal that also waits on you is friendly.

The sandwiches were very good and reasonably priced.

The prices are good and the sandwiches that we got were piled high with yummy ham. Why it didn't receive a higher rating would be that their selection, while already minimal, was even more limited. It was only an hour after opening and they were out of tortillas for their breakfast wrap and the croissants were "not ready yet." We did receive our food quickly and they were diligent about making more coffee.

American baked goodies with a homemade feel. Good lattes, deceivingly great croissants sandwiches, free WiFi, but alright service - not rude but crabby.

I like the Artisan. They don't have a huge menu, but the food is good. I love donut Saturdays! I mostly go for breakfast, but the sandwiches are very good too.

Agree with previous review. Staff is not friendly. Sandwiches were really good. We had the specials; turkey avocado & ham, salami... Just dont get servers who dont look you in the eye when you are talking to them & dont smile. No chatting with this couple.

Artisan Bakery is the kind of place that makes me wish I didn’t live three days away. Best scratch breads. And if you can talk them into it, killer maple/bacon donuts.

Go ahead, buy the whole loaf of garlic bread. And get a loaf for the road, too!

Rude. This is directed to the man working behind the counter who looks like he hates everyone. I may not pay your rent with just our two coffees and two scones, but I am certainly not coming to support your business and expect to be treated like you are doing us a favor by serving us. Could it be our accents that threw you off, or are you just that miserable? Or both? You can keep your (mediocre and overpriced) coffee. I'm taking my money and business elsewhere. 👋 Ciao bello.👋
